Potion

I am more convinced that my mom is a witch.

Just one out of many example :

I discovered a new brew today from my mom. Temu Lawak brew

Temu Lawak or Temulawak drink is a kind of yellowish stinking healthy bitter potion/jamu/brew/tea that my mom claims is good for the liver, cleansing, detox, etc that can be drunk cold or warm and tastes like hell anyways.

I feel healthier now.

Highly recommended for people who loves their health and is interested in traditional health supplements

familiarity

September 11th, 2007 by synyan

i was in the queue for almost 5 minutes.

I looked in front of me.

I saw someone who seemed familiar standing in front of me

‘Excuse me.’

She turned round and glance at me

‘Whoops,sorry,I got the wrong person.’

She continued to stare at me.

I looked away. I really don’t know who she is

She said ‘hey, I remember you!’

I can almost swear that I have never seen her before.

‘no.. i m sorry, i don’t know you.’

‘But I do.We met at Yii’s house before. I am Yii’s friend. You must be Yii’s friend too. Don’t u remember me?’

‘Er,no. But i do know Yii as a friend and though i’ve been to her house, i definitely don’t remember meeting you. Are you sure you saw me there before?’

‘Yes, i do remember you were at her house and i was there too.’

‘That’s amazing. I didn’t expect you to know Yii at all. When I thought you look familiar, it was familiar in some other place and for some other reason, not at Yii’s home!’

She reached the end of the queue and we were separated before either could say anything other than ‘bye’.

It happened years ago.

I still ponder about that day.

I still cannot remember meeting her at Yii’s home.

cave

February 2nd, 2007 by synyan

29 of us went to gua tempurung on 2nd February. we had to climb many stairs, slide down a smooth cave wall, go through a hole in the ground and crawl in the cave river because of the low cave ceiling. climbing the stairs was the most exhausting and least exciting compared with the other cave adventure.Getting wet might feel horrible but I rather crawl through the cave river than climb the stairs. I wasn’t well on the morning before and considered not going at all to the cave but i got better at night so i went the next day but after getting wet by crawling in the cave river, i got sick again the next day because I wasn’t fully cured but it was all definitely worth it! If I had missed the trip, i would feel much much worse so for those who missed it, make sure not to miss the next opportunity especially if you have never really had an adventure. Next time if i am given the chance, it would be the grand tour, where it will be going through the cave river all the way. while inside the cave, i can’t wait to get out and kept wondering how far more to go but once outside, i feel like starting the whole adventure again. I kept expecting to see some snake or fish in the cave river to get a bit of thrill and excitement but i was quite disappointed not to see any but I did have fun anyway.

home alone

October 12th, 2006 by synyan

9-17 August 2006 I am the King of the castle in a house with kitchen, dining, 2 washroom, sitting room, 5 bedrooms and a backyard. How am I suppose to occupy all these time and space that i now completely have total control of? heh! Instead of coming back early to an empty house, I have been window shopping after work and will reach home around 9pm.

Until the event itself there was absolutely no itinerary… anyway on 30th September 2006 at Subang Mewah 10pm-5am:

karaoke

taboo

risk/monopoly

music jamming- guitars,drums,piano,vocals

late night chit chat on philosophy

..since everyone had reasons to leave early the next day, slept for only 5 hours on the chairs… obviously, no one had enough of sleep but it was all in the name of good fun.
